Vietnam tourism growth leads Asia in 2017

According to the latest statistics of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Vietnam ranks first in Asia in terms of tourism growth rate and ranks sixth in the top 10 countries in the world.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has published international visitors data in the world. Specifically, in the first four months of 2017, the global has 369 million international visitors, an increase of 21 million visitors in comparison with the same period in 2016.

 

 

In addition, the report also showed the countries with the strongest tourist growth, according to international visitors. Topping the Top 10 list is the Palestinian Territories, growing at 57.8%.

In 2016, the country welcomed some 400,000 visitors. Some places, in spite of being influenced by terrorism or political instability, such as Egypt and Tunisia, still have good growth in tourism.

 

 

In particular, Vietnam also presents in the top 10 tourist growth countries, ranking 6th with a growth rate of 31.2%. In 2016, Vietnam welcomed about 10 million visitors. With this result, Vietnam is also the country with the fastest growth in Asia in 2017.

According to UNWTO, Vietnam is no longer a strange tourist destination. This country is fascinated by its long history of culture, rich cuisine and attractive natural landscapes.

Experts also forecast that international arrivals to Vietnam will surpass 13 million by the end of 2017. Lee Cobaj, a travel expert for the Telegraph suggests that in order to avoid crowded condition, visitors can choose Ninh Binh Vietnam, which is like "Halong Bay on land".

 

 

In addition, the Top 10 can see two relatively new names that are Mongolia and Nicaragua. This shows that the new trend of tourists that is experiencing new destinations, instead of places that are so familiar.
